National Award movie Director RAM brings in Mammootty as a taxi driver, Amudhavan, who comes back from Dubai following 10 years, to find that his wife ran away with another man, abandoning a high school spastic little girl, Paapa (Sadhana). The young girl at first shatters, cries at seeing her dad, yet later becomes acclimated to him and to the charming surroundings in his new cottage. There in a wooden cottage, Papa lives with birds and animals for company with lonely atmosphere, however, missing her mom badly.

RAM incorporates with his screenplay partitioned into a few sections sculptured into chapters , named after the numerous states of mind of Nature  assortment of occurrences that only indicate Amudhavan's battles as he attempts to adapt to the emotional episodes of a developing young lady, her menstrual difficulties and even her sexual desires.  There are other such stresses which Amudhavan faces while he attempts to make a decent living, driving a call taxi in Chennai, where the dad and little girl end up in the wake of being duped out of their cottage via land mafia's. This is the least persuading portion regarding the movies objectification, where the plot hauls us past suspension of incredulity. It is extremely elusive a man, a ways into his medieval times and subsequent to being dumped by his better half, compliantly falling prey to the charms of another women, Vijayalakshmi.
Having said this one must offer it to Ram for his phenomenally delicate depiction of a middle aged father and his little girl's relationship. Furthermore, paralysis showered Sadhana isn't decreased to a beauty face with no much acting or just an added one for songs . Truth be told, she is only splendid as a young girl lost and aching for a mother, and when Vijayalakshmi strolls into her life at the new cottage, the youngster starts to shimmer, expecting that her family is perfect for a long living process. The film catches in all its shades of life and apprehension of a young girls out of the box acting, making Sadana the future of the industry. Additionally Amudhavan, whose powerless failure to deal with his little girl is investigated with a sort of feeling not frequently found in Indian film. It also illustrates the issues faced by the third gender, who leads an inadequate challenging life staging happiness towards the society.

Now coming to the technical part of the movie, the first half is short in a cottage showing the beauty of nature with trees, river and birds. Cinematographer Theni Eshwar has done his job well with the visuals being an attractive showcase. The lyrics by Vairamuthu, Karunakaran and Sumathy Ram are rocking with words being heart touching. After that it is all about the acting skills of the actors, starting with Mammotthy as Amudhavan proves the real reason for the Tittle "Megastar Mammotty". He and Sadhana as Pappa as nailed it with their performance. Adding to that two female leads Anjali and Anjali ameer also has given their acting skills as required. Samuthirakani, Vadivukkarasi and Livingston have played their appearance to the point. To conclude, Ram as a director has again shown how a class, critically acclaimed movie can be made. It is also true that the movie could not have been this big with no Mammotty playing the character of Amudhavan.
